TIME

Is like a lake flowering
The flowers that bloom
My shore. Poetry ripples
My life, I sit here between
Two lonely seats looking
At the sun glistening
On water like a diamond
In perpetual motion.

a man comes by all stooped over
Picking berries, a dog barks
A boat goes by and the wind
Whispers loneliness.

Will I ever find happiness?
Is it at the end of that path
In there among those trees?
I have no bitterness in my heart
And nothing I want to own.

Off the road on this beaten path
Locked within this moment
in this desperate kingdom.

I watch a dragonfly land
On a stone, a swan floats by
And the wind in the reeds
Schhhhhhhhhhhhh my tears.
